As an Investment Director at GRC Fund, Hanyang Cao PhD seeks potential investments and performs due diligence in the areas of smart infrastructure and clean energy. Before joining GRC, Hanyang served as a VC investment professional at Shenzhen Capital Group and YueXiu Industrial Fund. His core previous investment projects include REsource Electric (Wind Turbine Control Systems, Energy Storage), Baseus (Consumer Electronics), Chint Aneng (Residential Solar, Energy Storage and Charging), ENCOO (RPA Software), Ripcord (Intelligent Document Processing), Groove X (AI Chatbot), and Exceed (AI Email Dialogue). Before venture capital, Hanyang worked at Streamdata as an algorithms engineer where he was responsible for improving their cloud platform algorithms. He previously conducted post-doctoral research in Tsinghua University’s department of innovation and entrepreneurship and received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Bordeaux in France.
